At an International Sikh Conference, I was invited to give a lecture on Khushwant Singh. It was published as a chapter titled "A Mirror to our Faces: The Short Stories of Khushwant Singh," in the book titled Sikh Art and Literature , ed. Kerry Brown (Routledge, 1999).

Your session shined like gold! My colleague told me she could barely sleep that night because her mind was racing, filled with ways to adopt and adapt your approaches. She’s on sabbatical, though, which explains why she can do that now and I’ll have to wait till my semester’s over. Still, I just wanted to let you know how much we were impressed and inspired by your session, which made the whole conference worthwhile for us.
